Ascend Air Line from Appalachia (US 2) to a branch trail leading to newly renovated Madison Hut - continue above treeline on Star Lake Trail to New Hampshire's second highest (5744') summit. Descend via Gulfside and Valley Way, alongside Snyder Brook, and back to base.
